Take gold as an example. Real gold is expensive. We will electroplate real gold only when the customer specifically states that we need to use real gold. Other ordinary gold plating will not oxidize and fade as easily as imitation gold, nor will it be expensive as real gold. There are generally three reasons for the fading of metal badges: first, the bottom layer is not good. Gold plating should be backed with silver plating. Copper plating or nickel plating will change color, because copper or nickel will diffuse to the gold layer. Second, the gold plating layer is too thin. Third, it was not thoroughly cleaned with pure water.

Therefore, whether a product can be used for a long time is not only the problem of product quality itself, but also the proper maintenance of users. Some customers come up and ask if they will never fade. We can't guarantee that they will never fade. It's just a matter of time.

As long as the use is appropriate and the collection method is correct, a qualified metal badge will not fade within 2 years. Some customers said that it would be ugly and scrapped after two years. In fact, when you think about it carefully, the pure silver and pure gold commemorative coins designated by the state will be oxidized and faded, not to mention the ordinary metal badges.
